Fashion and Textile Design

Explore your creativity and the fashion design process from concept to finished garments and collections with one of our fashion courses.

You’ll learn everything from machine work, garment construction, pattern cutting, design and styling to how to create a commercially ready clothing line.

Our fashion studio is equipped with industry standard machinery and resources to ensure you get the best start to your career. Our experienced and supportive tutors will be on hand to help you develop a professional portfolio throughout your course, and you will even get the opportunity to see your designs come to life on the catwalk in a fantastic end of year fashion show and exhibition.

Course Enrichment

During your studies you will get to experience all elements of the fashion industry with talks from industry professionals, giving you the opportunity to ask questions and learn about the different career paths fashion has to offer. Previous students have heard from companies such as The Natural Dyer, who specialise in sustainable fashion and natural methods.

On your course you will also get the opportunity to work with other creative individuals from a range of other courses within College as you tackle large projects and live briefs. Recent students have been able to put their skills to good use in a project creating dignity smocks for vulnerable and elderly people. This was a huge project that was seen by thousands of people across the country and made a huge impact on the local community.
