What You'll Need

  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 or above
  • An interest in flowers, plants and art
  • Successful interview with our team
If you're still working towards Grade 4 in Maths or English, you can keep building those alongside the course.
What You'll Learn

Bouquets, Weddings, Tributes. The Full Craft.

This course gives you the full range of a florist’s craft. Working with fresh flowers direct from professional suppliers, you’ll learn hand-tied bouquets, floral arrangements, wedding flowers and funeral tributes, and innovative designs. You’ll cover the design principles behind it all, plus caring for flowers, customer service, and working safely.

What makes this course stand out is the 150 hours of work experience, done in the trade or at the college’s own flower shop, Flowers at The Hub. You’ll also work on real College events like graduation. You’ll finish with the skills, the confidence and the experience for a job in a florist shop, or your own business.
