What You'll Learn

Job-Ready Electrical Skills.

This Level 2 builds the real, job-ready skills an electrician needs. You’ll cover electrical principles, installation technology, health and safety, and communication in the workplace, then prove it through practical assessments in the electrical workshops. There are six components in total, four assessed by online exam and two by hands-on practical assessment.

It is a genuine mix of theory and practical: you need to understand the science and standards, and you need to be able to wire and install for real. On completion you can progress to the Level 3, the T Level, or an electrical apprenticeship, and on towards qualifying as an electrician.

The Six Components

  • Health and safety (exam and practical)
  • Electrical principles
  • Installation technology
  • Communication in the workplace
  • Electrical installation (practical)
