Students on this pathway are expected to progress to study university courses in discipline such as history, law, philosophy, English / creative writing, education, etc.
Blended Learning involves a large amount of independent study using resources provided by our tutors, but also includes regular, mandatory in-college and online group sessions. Unlike fully online courses, Blended Learning offers the advantage of regular contact with both tutors and peers, and some degree of lessons and seminars in addition to independent learning.
In-college sessions will always be on Thursday evenings, but not every week.
It is important to note that the overall amount of time needed to complete the Diploma is similar to in-college study, and students need to have a very high degree of self-motivation, organisation and the ability to work mostly independently. This course can be completed in one or two years. Completing the course in one year is considered to be full-time education and, as such, it is not appropriate to attempt the course in one year whilst in full-time work.
