This is a 3 week that aims to provide you with opportunity to develop your listening and understanding skills associated with the role of a befriender and to recognise the support which may be needed to help individuals.
This introduces learners to the role of a befriender, and types of organisations which provide a befriending service.
As well as understanding the boundaries of the role, the importance of preparation and reporting and appropriate use of safeguarding and equality and diversity during interactions, learners will also practice listening skills.
This course is available as an online course, where you can access the course materials at any time of day with one to one tutor support as needed.
Throughout the course you will be required to produce 3 reflective journals.
You will complate a portfolio of evidence
