Year two, and where plumbing gets serious. You'll build on your Level 1 with cold and hot water systems, central heating, sanitation, drainage, and the electrical and scientific principles behind building services engineering. This is the skills and knowledge that get you ready for employment or an apprenticeship in the plumbing sector. The trade in demand, done properly.

Year two takes you from the fundamentals into the real systems a plumber installs and maintains: cold water systems, domestic hot water systems, central heating, sanitation and drainage. You’ll also cover the electrical and scientific principles behind building services engineering, and the common plumbing processes that tie it all together.
Like year one, it is 50% theory, 50% practical, with a portfolio of evidence assessed by your tutor. Health and safety in building services engineering runs throughout. By the end of this year you’ll have the skills and knowledge for employment or an apprenticeship in the plumbing sector, and a real foundation for a long career in the trade.
