This Level 2 Certificate in Health Professions is suitable for students who need to develop their academic skills and subject knowledge before moving on to a Level 3 Access to Higher Education Diploma and then university.
This course is a suitable progression route to all our Level 3 Access to HE Diplomas and can be studied alongside one or more of our English maths and science GCSEs, if required.
This course is one day per week and runs on Tuesdays 9am – 5pm. You will need to be able to do additional work independently to complete assignments.

The units you will study on this course include:
- Understanding Mental Health
- Human Life Processes
- Ethical Issues in Social Policy
- Sociology of Health
- Young People, Law and Order
- Introduction to Psychology
- Safeguarding
At the end of each unit, you will complete an assignment to assess your knowledge of the unit.
To successfully achieve your Certificate, you will need a total of 25 credits.
Applicants are normally expected to have achieved a Level 1 qualification in English, eg. Functional Skills Level 1 or GCSE grade 3 / D
