There is an emerging global epidemic of diabetes. In the UK alone, 3.2 million people are diagnosed with the disease and an estimated 630,000 people have the condition but don’t know it. It is believed that deaths from diabetes will rise by more than 50% in the next ten years. Simple lifestyle measures can be effective in preventing or delaying the onset of this chronic, debilitating and often deadly disease.
Whether you work in the care sector or just want to look out for your own health or the health of someone you know, this online course will provide you with essential knowledge.
Diabetes is a growing health problem worldwide, but it can be prevented, delayed, or managed with simple lifestyle changes. You will learn about the different forms and causes of diabetes, as well as the care, treatment and management of the condition.
All of our distance learning courses are completed online, so there is no need for any personal attendance in college, however you can always attend college if you feel you need this.
You will complete assessments by answering questions and submitting them to your tutor via the online learning platform.
You will be given full written feedback on your assessments within 5 working days.
Your tutor is available by email, or Mobile Phone during office hours if you need support with your studies.
To study the courses, you need to have a suitable device such as a laptop, a desktop computer, or a tablet such as an iPad. You also need access to the internet.

On successful completion of the course, you will receive a certificate from TQUK awarding body, confirming your achievement.
To achieve this qualification, you need to achieve all 4 units.
