Project Search Supported Internship

A supported internship with a real employer, for young people with additional needs who want a job. You will spend the year gaining real work experience at Amazon in Doncaster, with support from mentors, tutors and staff every step of the way. The goal is simple: to help you move into paid work by the end of the year.

What You'll Need

  • You do not need any qualifications to take part
  • You do not need to be a student at Doncaster College to apply
  • You must be 18 or over, because the host employer is Amazon
This is a supported internship for young people with additional needs. Come and talk to us, and we will help you decide if it is right for you.
What You'll Learn

Real Work. Real Support.

You will gain real work experience in a real workplace at Amazon in Doncaster. You will work in different departments, like packing, receiving, returns and shipping, and learn the skills that every job needs: turning up on time, working in a team, following instructions, and staying safe.

You will be supported all the way by mentors, managers, college tutors, and your parents or carers. There are no exams. It is all about the work experience and growing your confidence. By the end, many people find a paid job, and we keep helping you look for work after the course too.

  • Teamwork and building good working relationships
  • Health and safety in a warehouse
  • Following instructions and improving your social skills
  • Writing a CV
  • Real experience in packing, receiving, returns and shipping
How You're Assessed

Assessment Methods

Practical Assessment

Hands-on tasks and practical demonstrations in realistic working environments.

There are no exams. This programme is all about your real work experience.
