As part of #NAW2026 some of our Level 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker apprentices took over the session and delivered peer‑teaching to our Level 2 and Level 3 learners. They confidently shared their developing knowledge, skills, and experiences, and it was brilliant to see them stepping into a leadership role.
Melissa, from the RDaSH Planned Community District Nursing Team, delivered an engaging session on wound care and bandaging techniques, giving learners the opportunity to see practical skills in action. While Harry, from RDaSH Cusworth Ward (Mental Health), presented an insightful overview of the history of mental health care and discussed the role of music in supporting mental health and wellbeing. His passion for the topic really shone through.
