How to Apply

If you are wondering how to apply, enquire or enrol on one of our many courses, look no further. All the info you need to apply now is right here!

Stage 1 – Make your choice(s)

This stage can seem daunting – there are a huge number of courses and options to explore. Take a look at our website, or request a prospectus. You might not start off with a particular course in mind so draw a shortlist of subject areas that spark your interest and research from there.

Alternatively, you can visit an open event, or contact us if you need any advice or guidance.

Stage 2 – Apply or enquire

Once you have found the perfect course, you have the option to ‘Apply/Enrol/Enquire Online’ in which case you’ll be directed to the relevant form.  Alternatively, you can download an Application Form (PDF) – this can be edited directly on your device, then saved and emailed to centraladmissions@don.ac.uk

If you’re in Year 11 there is also the option to complete your application through your school.

When applying for a course, you can add more than one option to your application.

  1. Choose your first option by clicking the apply online button
  2. To add another course, click on the College logo at the top left corner and choose another course from the subject areas, clicking the apply online button again and it will add it to your application. (DO NOT USE THE RETURN TO COURSE BUTTON)
  3. If you want to add another option repeat 1 and 2 until you have all your choices
  4. Complete your details on the application form and submit
  5. You will receive an email from donotreply@NorthLindsey.ac.uk but be assured you are applying to Doncaster College. (This is a technical error that is being dealt with)

We will then be in touch to take you through to the interview process and any further steps before you enrol.

Stage 3 – Interviews

You will receive your interview invitation via email and be invited to speak to the tutor that specialises in the department you wish to study. You will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have regarding the course and discuss your career goals.

This is also the opportunity for the tutor to discuss the course level and make sure that the course you have applied for is the right course for you.

Stage 4 – Offer of a place

Once we have confirmed that the course is for you, you will then receive an email with a conditional or unconditional offer, to study within your chosen subject.

Stage 5 – Taster Session

You will be invited in for a summer taster session which is a sample of the course you have chosen to study. It will give you a better idea regarding your course, give you the opportunity to meet your tutor again and also meet other students who may be on your course.

Stage 6 – Enrolment

If you are given an offer you will be invited to an enrolment day in August when you will also be asked to bring evidence you meet the conditions of your offer which could include exam results.

If at any time you have any queries regarding your application, please do not hesitate to contact Customer Services on 01302 553886.
