The Level 1 Certificate in Health and Social Care enables applied study of the health and social care sector, providing learners with an introduction to key areas relating to current practice, and supporting progression to further study or employment.
You will study a range of units which may include:
- Human Growth and Development
- Communication
- Person Centred Support
- Service Provision and Roles
- Dementia Awareness
- Infection Prevention and Control
- Safeguarding
- Disability Awareness
To support development and career prospects learners will also study GCSE Maths & English (as required) alongside their Health and Social Care programme of study.
Portfolio of work which may include posters, leaflets, class discussions, extended writing tasks.
GCSE maths or English at grade 1 or above, 1 other GCSE
L2 Health and Social Care, employment in entry level roles.
