This course is QAA accredited and validated through SEG Awards.
On this course you will study a range of units in Biology, Health, Psychology and Medical Physics.
Students on this pathway are expected to progress to careers in a wide range of medical-related professions such as Radiotherapy, Paramedic, ODP, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language Therapy, etc.
This course is completed in two years. You will attend college 1 day per week (Wednesday 9am – 5pm), and you will need to do a similar amount of independent study in addition to college attendance. This is considered to be a part-time course of study.

Assessment takes place at regular intervals throughout the course. Units take around 7 weeks to complete with assessment normally taking place at the end of the unit. A range of assessment methods is used including research tasks, structured questions, presentations and in-class tests.
Applicants are normally expected to have achieved GCSE English and Maths at grade C / 4 before starting on this course. A science GCSE would be an advantage. However, we welcome all applications and take account of individual circumstances including work experience and other achievements when offering places.
