Level 3 Sport and Physical Activity

Course overview

This course will teach you the necessary skills for employment in a variety of sporting environments such as sports coaching, teaching or fitness environments.

Completing a range of theory and practical based units you will develop coaching skills in a range of environments and working with a range of participants.

You will complete 30 hours of work experience within sports environments, working with a range of local companies all offering career opportunities for future job roles.

You will participate in weekly practical sports sessions where you will play range of sports such as football, volleyball, basketball, badminton and cricket. As well as being given the opportunity to join one of the colleges many sports teams.

Alongside your main programme you will also be offered the opportunity to gain your Level 2 Fitness instructor qualification.

On successful completion of the course at a merit overall you will be offered the opportunity to progress to Extended Diploma level 3 Sport, which would offer the UCAS points needed for university.
