Doncaster College is proud to announce that Henry Hart, a Level 2 Painting and Decorating student, has been selected to participate in a unique international initiative. In just two weeks, Henry will travel to Slovenia to lend his skills in the renovation of an elementary school in Dol pri Ljubljani, contributing his talent and dedication to an inspiring cross-cultural project.
Henry was chosen for this honour by the Painting and Decorating Association, thanks to his standout performances in two prestigious competitions: Wallpaper Hanging and Apprentice of the Year. These accomplishments have marked him as a rising star in the industry, making him a fitting representative of British craftsmanship in Slovenia.
Henry comes from a long lineage of painters and decorators, continuing the legacy of the family business, Henry Hart and Son. As a fourth-generation painter and decorator, he carries forward a tradition that began with his great-grandfather and has been passed down through both his grandfather and father. His commitment to excellence and family legacy truly embodies the pride and skill Doncaster College cultivates in its students.
Henry’s upcoming trip to Slovenia represents not only a unique learning experience but also a meaningful step in his professional development. His work at the elementary school will bring an international perspective to his training, reinforcing Doncaster College’s commitment to producing industry-ready graduates equipped with both practical skills and cultural awareness.
