DN Colleges Group taking part in National Inclusion Week 2024

Posted: 27/09/2024

DN Colleges Group announced that it took part in National Inclusion Week 2024. National Inclusion Week, running from September 23rd-29th 2024, and was created by Inclusive Employers to raise awareness of inclusion in the workplace. This year, the theme ‘Impact Matters’ sought to reignite and energise the positive impact of inclusion and showcase that wherever you are at with your inclusion journey, the impact of your work and actions matter.

This is the first year that DN Colleges Group has been involved in the National Inclusion Week and will be using it as a platform to launch some exciting initiatives such as the introduction of special interest staff led forums and Employee Network Groups.

Karen Dainty Associate Director EDI at DN Colleges Group said:

“I have just recently taken on the role of Associate Director EDI at DN Colleges Group so participating in the Inclusion Week has been a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate my commitment to prioritising inclusion and to help create a workplace where all employees are valued and able to contribute to the success of DNCG. EDI is more than just a strategy to me; it is about creating an environment where everyone feels safe, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential. At DN Colleges Group, we will celebrate the diversity of our staff and students, and actively champion it through innovative and engaging initiatives.”

Addison Barnett, Director of Impact, Inclusive Employers, comments:

“We’re thrilled that DN Colleges Group joined the National Inclusion Week campaign alongside other employers across the UK.

In what can feel like an increasingly hostile environment for inclusion and diversity work, organisations like DN Colleges Group are part of driving meaningful change. By showing their support and participation, DN Colleges Group demonstrates to others in their sector that they are prioritising their people and that their inclusion impact truly matters.

I’m excited to see how DN Colleges Group celebrates National Inclusion Week, the team at Inclusive Employers looks forward to celebrating with you.”

In 2023, over 9,000 participants took part in National Inclusion Week—with many celebrating with internal events including training sessions delivered by Inclusive Employers, by showcasing their inclusion ‘wins’ and through activities set through the popular National Inclusion Week toolkit.
