Doncaster College Floristry Tutor Nominated for National Award

The British Florist Association Industry Awards is set to take place on the 15th of October this year in which hundreds of commercial florists, floristry students and industry suppliers will be coming together to network, enjoy a meal and celebrate!

 

The annual event in which nine awards will be given out will be hosted at the Jurys Inn Hinckley Island Hotel and is sure to attract visitors from up and down the country. Winners will be decided by a panel of judges from within the industry who will check and mark the candidates against the criteria.

 

Doncaster College’s very own Jo Cullingworth, who has worked at the College for a number of years, has been nominated and is one of the finalists for the Floristry Tutor Award! Jo is universally loved by staff and students alike and everybody at Doncaster College believes that she has what it takes to be presented with the prestigious award.

 

Speaking on reaching the finals, Jo said “I am thrilled to be through to the finals in the Tutor of the Year category of the British Florist Association Industry Awards. It is very humbling to be recognised in this way, amongst many well-respected industry professionals.”

 

With the date of the awards drawing nearer, the excitement amongst the floristry staff and students is starting to build. The evening is set to be a wonderful event with floristry students, commercial florists and industry suppliers all coming together to celebrate achievements and support each other.
